Meet Our Founder
At the heart of The Other Comedy Company is a shared vision of creativity, courage and community. We are a comedian-run company that believes in comedy not just a form of entertainment, but as a bridge to deeper relationships, experiences and connections. With an impassioned vision to cultivate a global play & learning community — we take great pride in challenging organizations, teams and individuals to step outside their comfort zones and into a world of incredible possibilities.
Our journey began with a simple commitment: to make the world a funny place to live. Whether we’re delivering unforgettable comedy events, innovative small group programs or out-of-the-box keynote addresses — our team of funny folks are dead serious about being your next partner in culture change. We're not just any comedy company, we're The Other Comedy Company, and it's our commitment to learning and entertainment that drives a generational vision of community and culture transformation.

How much does The Other Comedy Workshop™ cost?
Pricing depends on the size of your group and the customization required. Most of our 90-minute workshops range between $750 – $1,500.
We’ll give you an exact quote after reviewing your Discovery Form and assessing your needs. We make sure to email proposals in less than 24 hours after consultation.
What is a “Social-Emotional Learning” workshop?
It’s a training session focused on developing “people skills” – how we understand and manage emotions, communicate with others, and build relationships. In our case, we do this through fun activities.Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) includes skills like self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making. In a workplace SEL workshop, your team learns to communicate better, handle stress, and empathize with each other – all in an engaging, memorable way.
Our team is pretty small. Is there a minimum or maximum group size?
We love small teams! There is no strict minimum – we’ve run sessions for teams as small as 4 people. For very small groups, the session can be more intimate and tailored. As for maximum, to keep it interactive, we cap it off at 10 per facilitator but book multiple facilitators to work with groups in different areas. If you have a bigger group and want to do something more collective — connect with our team and we can always build out a custom conference with breakout workshops for your organization.
Do participants need to be extroverts or have improv skills?
Not at all! This is for everyone, regardless of personality or experience. We won’t be putting anyone on a stage or forcing them to tell jokes. The activities are structured so that even quieter folks can participate comfortably (for example, working in small breakout groups). The goal is to create a supportive atmosphere. Many introverts have told us afterwards that they enjoyed it more than they expected because it was done in a respectful, inclusive way.
Is the content appropriate for a corporate/professional setting?
Yes, definitely. We understand the importance of keeping it professional. All jokes and scenarios are clean and workplace-friendly by default. We avoid politics, religion, or any sensitive/offensive topics. That said, we can't control everything participants will say or do but our facilitators are trained to redirect and guide the session in a professional and respectful manner.
How far in advance do we need to book?
We recommend booking as early as possible, especially for popular months (e.g., December holidays or spring retreat season). 2-4 weeks in advance is ideal to secure your date. That said, if you have a last-minute need, reach out – if we can make it happen, we will! Once you submit an inquiry, we’ll get back to you quickly, and we can firm up a date and time from there.
Is catering included with the workshop or event?
Catering is not included in our packages and would need to be arranged separately. That said, we’re happy to coordinate with your catering provider to align timing with our session schedule. If you're looking for recommendations, we can suggest trusted local options upon request.
What do we need to provide on the day of the workshop?
Very little. For in-person sessions, a room where the team can move around a bit is all we need. If you would like to arrange a meeting location we have an extensive venue list and can make arrangements on our end to help ensure everything goes smoothly. We don’t require any AV equipment (unless you want a microphone for a large room, but generally it’s not necessary). We’ll bring any props or materials for activities. For virtual sessions, each participant just needs a stable internet connection and a device with Zoom (or your chosen platform) installed.
Do you provide your services outside of Ontario?
Though we currently serve clients across Ontario, both in-person and virtually, If you’re located outside of Ontario and are interested in booking us, please reach out. We’re open to travel and remote options, and we’d be happy to explore what’s possible based on your needs and location.
Are your sessions accessible and mobility-friendly?
Absolutely. Our sessions are designed to be inclusive and adaptable. Activities can be modified for varying mobility levels, and no one is ever put on the spot or asked to participate in a way that makes them uncomfortable. If your team has specific accessibility needs, let us know during the Discovery Form—we’ll ensure everything is set up for a great experience.
